Jacinta Auma Opondo,Was born in 1973 in Siaya, Kenya, joined the Franciscan Sisters of St. Anne in 1993 and professed first vows in 1996. Her academic degrees include B.Ed. in English Language and Literature and M.Ed. in Educational Administration and Planning both from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), Kenya; Bachelor of Philosophy from Apostles of Jesus Philosophicum-Nairobi, Kenya, an Institute affiliated to Pontifical Urbaniana University in Rome; J.C.L. in Canon Law from the Pontifical Angelicum University in Rome; and J.C.D. in Canon Law from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
